STEREO

Double satisfaction exposition

Tanks to Panc (STEREO) for the lodown.
I know we all love the same shizzle, well almost that is. So if you are in Rotterdam just see for yourself. Here’s a sneak peak.
———————
A [tag]double satisfaction[/tag] expo @ Off_Corso (21 April 2005- 15 May 2005) STEREO is an [tag]international art publication[/tag] that sets out to bring original collaborative work by upcoming artists. STEREO targets towards art-professionals (graphic designers, illustrators, artists, photographers, curators), anyone in art-education and anyone with a special interest in upcoming talent.
Unique selling point is that most works presented are never before published and have been specifically made for each issue of STEREO. On top of that a set of 3-5 original, limited editioned works by participants of the issue are presented with every publication. These may vary from silkscreen prints to small-scaled sculptures. The 50 hand-numbered special editions are low-priced and available on every release-exhibition of STEREO or online at www.stereopublication.com
STEREO #3: La Revolution, c’est Chic! STEREO’s spring edition, coined La Revolution, c’est Chic!, is a direct assault on ideology. Today’s sudden, uncontrolled interest in current affairs has urged STEREO to work hard and devoted to bring you an issue that is both controversial and desirable. STEREO #3 is a brand new bag of fashion-philosophers (The Grey Sweatsuit Revolution on the rebel inside Nelly’s powersuit), media theorists (BAVO on Von Trier’s apotheosis, Dogville) and designers (London’s established Neasden Control Centre). STEREO’s favourite Buro Duplex has invited acknowledged designer Hansje van Halem to join them for the demanding job of contriving the issue’s overall design. All this and more will be on offer spring 2005 in New York, London, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris and Rotterdam. STEREO will continue to satisfy its reader’s insatiable thirst of the new.[tags]magazine, artist, design[/tags]

———–

Rok je soks of

Translation thanks to Babelfish
As from 5 May 2005 there is a new weekly Amsterdam club evening on Thursday, which you cannot simply miss out on. It’s called Rokjesoksof The concept of Rokjesoksof is simple: You always hear newest music, feel you the newest vibes and see the newest artists in a mini showcase Each Thursday twists the fixed skirt two-high rolling mill SP and Pusha Mau the newest hip-hop, dancehall, grime, r&b, headstock and rock to each other. In May Rokjesoksof starts immediately atrociously with a clearcut line up:

Thursday May the 5th: JAWAT, the newest discovery from the opgezwolle duvelduvel hiphopkamp. Jawat! Is very busy with his debut album, which ends up hopefully end of this year.

Thursday 12 May: Melodee, have been confessed leap about of LaMelodia, a hip-hop of this evening two-high rolling mill that threw internationally high eyes with their debute single “Dough”

Thursday 19 May: secret Thursday 26 May: we end the first month with mini-gig of NINA, one of the largest undergound artist of this moment. Especially since her appearance on the much-discussed Patta mix tape, these female MC have become the word on the street. Dj’s SP & Pusha Mau. 23.00. Club More, Rozengracht 133 Amsterdam.
